The discourse around Apple products is bizarre. I was recently looking up why the setting to stop charging my Macbook at 80% didn't seem to do anything and the answer is that the computer can choose to ignore the setting at its discretion, effectively making the setting worthless. The common sentiment about this I found online was that the computer knows better than you and if you want to always limit charging to 80% you're obviously wrong.

The fix is to let the companies who want to build, build. For some reason a lot of cities won't support new construction if a private company might make a profit on it.

Is it a more accurate map? It more accurately represents the size of Africa but there are distortions in other places that aren't present in a Mercator projection.

It's a ubiquitous dark pattern. Instead of having a "Yes" or "No" option it's now "Yes" or "Ask Me Later."

Olden Era is really good, it's kind of a spiritual successor to HoMM3.

Auto GCAS is a genius system. It only takes over past the point where it's physically possible for a human to react to a situation because that's the only system that fighter pilots would accept. It will not take control unless the plane would crash if it didn't.

Just from the base ingredients they still look fine.

>cream, skim milk, cane sugar, egg yolks, ground vanilla beans, vanilla extract

Compare that with Ben and Jerry's which lists sugar water third on their ingredients list and water fourth.

Very few people use old.reddit, I believe it's like 1-2%.

I used to read the games site Rock Paper Shotgun. At some point they decided they were going to block everyone who blocked ads. There were ways around it but the writing had gone downhill so I chose to stop reading it entirely. A few months later I saw they had issued an apology for serving malware through their ads.

I will never, ever, under any circumstances stop using an adblocker.

I spent a lot of time playing Eve and it's without a doubt the greatest MMO I've ever played but I would never play it again. It will happily eat up as much time as you want to give it. I wouldn't be happy if I wasn't playing it for 8+ hours a day and I can't do that anymore.

I remember seeing a house for sale in Detroit that basically said you were on your own. No power, no water, and emergency services would not respond to your calls.

They train for it. When people who have ejected talk about it they basically say it's automatic. Things go south they pull the handle on instinct.

The Oscars are 100% vibes based. It was only very recently made a requirement that the judges actually watch the movies that are nominated.
