The old Donnie Darko website was one of the reasons I was sad when Flash died. It was really well done, and let you solve some of the mysteries the movie left unanswered in a way that was deeply satisfying.

Dumber yes, but not by all that much. If the multiple agent thing really improves the quality by as much as is described here, the quality loss should be nearly imperceptible.

"Piracy" is a service problem. Always has been. Sure, there's freeloaders, but not enough to be a serious problem. Most freeloaders would never have been customers even if they couldn't get what they wanted for free, so technically no sale lost. Many theorize that the would-never-have-paid freeloaders serve a useful purpose as free advertising and increase sales overall. No industry has ever collapsed from either copying nor real piracy, and I highly doubt this will be the first case.

Have yourself a read about "Social Market Economy", the best kind of capitalism.

Social Market Economy offers the best blend of capitalism and public benefit. I personally want separation between the regulatory body and the servicing body to maintain effective means of redress for harms, as well as mechanisms for both competition and failure. Thanks to the Germans, we can have it both ways.

"Piracy" will be the only way to play Nintendo games on non-Nintendo hardware. I will gladly buy their games and then "pirate" them to play on something that doesn't come with a kill switch in the EULA.

I both want Nintendo and these exploits to succeed, and I think that's the majority opinion here. We should be able to buy games and use them on the hardware of our choosing, or use whatever software we want on the console without fear of getting remote-bricked. I love Nintendo games, but won't buy them until I have a way to play them on my PC because the console is owner-hostile.

Connecting the Switch 2 to the internet to get those updates exposes you to their kill switch. It effectively can't be used except for a few physical launch titles without placing you under the recourse-free banhammer.

The LLMs can't accept, sign, package, and release fixes to deprecated software on behalf of unaffiliated maintainers. If the software is EOL, it's going to stay that way.

It's less reliable because a single Windows update can undo all of that. More work because you have to know to look for this non-standard setup procedure and filter it from worse similar options.

"Off rails" is a common enough idiom as to take priority for a native speaker.
