I bet there's a half-life to bugs though. Bugs might be infinite over the lifespan of a project, but the rate that they are produced goes down with our ability to detect them.

A lot are being found _now_ in projects written in C because the backlog of bugs to find is mostly written in C. We haven't yet gotten to the point when we're detecting most bugs before they're released, but we will.

Things won't get worse for too long. If we haven't already surpassed it, we're approaching the point of being able to do static analysis and ensure the mathematical correctness of the most complex C programs ever written so far.

I don't use C or C++, but look how much safer it is to use C or C++ these days.

Generators require the infrastructure that supplies fuel, and you need to have a generator you might not need.

Solar panels and batteries are great for emergencies, and they're useful besides.

That's what that is! I was doing well until I got lost at Map of the Visit. I forgot I was pretending to be in a museum.

Windows shows my Desktop folder in four distinct locations in the native file manager. Some representations of my home folder have more files and folders in them than others.

I use Bash via Git4Windows as much as possible, but even there... `cd ~/git; cd ../Downloads; cd ../git` doesn't work because `..` from `~/Downloads/` is `~/One Drive/`.

It's... non-Euclidiean.

I bet that would be great (for a specific subset of games). MMORPGs come top of mind.

Now I'm imagining a JIT compliter runtime that relies on LLMs to find optimizations.

Insurance rates are based on data.

Dictionaries have been trying to retard linguistic progress since the first edition of one tried to nail down every meaning of a term.

What business is it of the USPS except to transmit all mail regardless of purpose?

The fact that the USPS would notice elections were being conducted is perverse.

The fact that reputable sources were not provided to justify the need for fixes has been reputable source enough.

Bullshit is produced for the effect saying it will have.
