I believe Proton is advertising they are not Google as the primary reason to switch to them, and yet their leadership demonstrate they are no different. The way the CEO publicly shows no empathy for his own staff and even after the public reaction shows that Proton is no different from Google.

Cult like activity like this is never good for anyone, in business or politics.

Its funny how these swings in market value also match attention spans thaT have resulted in video shorts. In the case of big companies they dont have the patience to build something over time and wait for the payback, they want everything now. We are seeing the same with investors and the market, stupid big bets that only get bigger just like a problem gamber doubling up.

Creativity is in the details, just asking for a paint app is boring. What exacty does that mean ? An app with a canvas and a few brushes and a colour palette is a paint app. So is Photoshop, but there is a difference. If everyone asks for a paint app or Photoshop, whats the point ?

It tacks effort and brains to think of new ideas and thats the problem, nost people dont know how to think it thru. THe same is true when thinking about security, most people dont have a clue what that means, they dont know if something is wrong or why or even how to ask for actual security in details, and thats not a good thing. Asking for "good security" is childish.

Like nearly everything in this modern world, the public statements or claims are never true and the opposite is the reality. Im thinking of those people worried about the government taking their money, and today we see the safety of crypto is fundamentally broken because ANYONE can take your money. Maybe its me, but i would rather trust the gov than ANYONE.

You fail to appreciate that creativity is more than just code. I would argue code is the easy part. The difficult part which you obviously dont appreciate or value is being creative and "different". Thinking what or how something can change or be better.

So what happens when everyone is building the "same" app because they ask the "same" question to AI, without actually using their understanding and creativity to be "different" ?
