I am currently renovating a house in Germany and had a quote for a heat pump system and a quote for a central gas heating system. The heat pump system was quoted at 66.000€, it would however be reduced by 24.750€ to 41.250€ as the government is currently giving a subsidy for these systems. The Gas system was quoted at around 18.000€.
Both of the quotes included removing the old Oil Heating system and disposing of it. The Gas System included the price of connecting to the cities gas supply.
I went with the Gas System, as not only the install would be cheaper, the running cost would also be substantially cheaper. Some electricity providers have a seperate tariff for heat pumps that is marginally cheaper. However even then my calculation was that a Heat Pump would only have a comparable running cost if I also invested in a large Solar install on the Roof.
> Raspberry Pi is a subsidiary of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a UK charity founded in 2008, with the goal of promoting interest in computer science among young people. Raspberry Pi has distributed approximately $50m in dividends to the Foundation since 2013, which has been used to advance its educational mission globally.
You can also do cool time limited actions without having an employee go and manually change prices. For example in Kaufland stores in Germany at 19:00 the price of the Fruit and Vegetables is automatically reduced.

If you're signing up to Atlas because you want to access Stripe for payment processing then you are out of luck it seems.
If you're signing up because you need a US LLC then you have other options that are more complex but would get you the same result. Have you considered using a service like LegalZoom (Not affiliated and have never used it so can't speak to how good they are) to incorporate your LLC?

(By the way nothing says the dividend has to be yearly, as a company you can pay multiple dividends a year if you so choose. It's more paperwork, and probably costs more in time from his accountant but otherwise you can do it as far as I know.)
Onto the two points, 1) The Social security is based on their wage, and no arrangement with the employers bookkeeping is needed. Their full time job would likely be Tax Class 1 (Or 3 if married) and the second job would be Tax Class 6. If there did happen to be a discrepancy it would likely be small, and paid back when they do their tax return. I also think that the Geschäftsführer of a company doesn't pay social security (or maybe pays a reduced amount?), but I might be wrong on that bit.
2) Yeah he/she must inform their boss, but unless they directly compete with the company, or the side business would affect their job performance they don't really have a valid reason to say no.
My suggestion would be to form a UG, they're relatively cheap and would be easier than the hassle of a foreign company. A foreign company whose operations are based completely within Germany would be liable to pay tax in Germany anyway.
I've heard http://firma.de are good with this sort of thing, and they have several articles on the different company forms in Germany to help. I am however in no way affiliated with them, and haven't used them myself yet.
This would just incentivize people who aren't going to take the job to apply. People would specifically apply to interviews just for the money with no intention of ever taking it. There would probably even be people who are wholly unqualified who would study and fake resumes etc just to make money from turning up.
On the other hand, I do believe that doing any work after an interview should be compensated in some way, even more so if they plan to actually use the work product for something. Travel to/from an interview should also be compensated in my opinion.
If it's the latter, he may be doing it unintentionally. I've known devs that don't have the best social skills, and they maybe don't realise that people would like to have credit for their ideas. It may just be that they mulled it over for some time and came to the conclusion it was a good idea. They may have even forgot who gave them the original idea. It may then be a good idea to talk with them and ask why they didn't give you credit.
Moving forward, my suggestion would be to have an email with others copied in. At most places I've worked we've had a developers@ / team.xy@ email. Maybe an email to that address with the idea, and asking for everyones feedback?
What I recently discovered is that in Germany you have a right to change your employment from full-time to part-time. So long as you've worked at the employer more than 6 months and the employer employs more than 15 people. The Employer can still turn you down under some conditions but sounds like it would be hard for them to justify.
