LLMs have a very strong voice, and that voice is “corporate hype press release”. So even fully human generated corporate crap sounds exactly like it. They both suck ass so they both deserve lambasting regardless.

Occasionally in this case meaning every 48 hours or so, which means the limit is barely doing more than jack shit

Leagues fulfills this by ramping up to things like 16x exp rates and 8x drop rates. It is a limited time game mode however

Of course one of the biggest problems we still see with LLMs is when you do the opposite. A highly detailed unique prompt is very likely to get terrible adherence or hallucination or both.

Shame it’s on a website that doesn’t allow you to view the content without paying (personal data is payment)

The difference is that Microsoft did that while relying on the extremely load bearing windows ecosystem. These AI companies have no equivalent lock in, nothing even close to it honestly.

They’re absolutely god awful at it because (I’m assuming) their detailed processes and step by step functions are not present in their training data or otherwise available to the models, and THAT is because

1: “safety”

2: proprietary protectionism and

3: it’s probably rapidly changing enough to be hard to pin down.

I am a massive proponent of this changing, it’s very strongly holding back these models. Change 1: models need to have more “LLM behavior analysis” in their training data/weight. Change 2: models need to have very detailed DETERMINISTIC logs of each step they take, and be able to access those logs. Change 3: the tuning and tweaking that happens more frequently needs to be in a .md file that the model can access.

Change 4: with the other changes done, the models should now engage in several self analysis steps layered into its whole thinking chain. “How did I reach this conclusion, did this require any guessing, do the key facts have research support online, quick check for Claudisms or AIisms and common LLM issues, did my changes alter underlying things like libraries without integrating them etc. etc.”

It’s how we think and refine our ideas and plans, and the models should mimic that.

Yeah I was honestly stunned to read “obviously the code is going to be correct so why check it” be the most upvoted comment on this website. Are we even using the same product? These things constantly shit out plausible code that is riddled with errors and bad ideas. if you just copy, paste, and run without looking there’s gotta be a 30% rate of failure to run, piles of terminal errors.

Do programmers use this website anymore? Me, myself, I am a DOGSHIT amateur programmer and even I can tell these things are terrible without constant revision and oversight.

Remember this when some corporate talking head talks about this stuff like it wasn’t predictable or preventable. Or when a coworker talks in a defeatist manner about it.

They’ll crush us all economically way before physically. But I wouldn’t discount the later happening if we make it through the former

I miss the 1 update per second animations of ye olden times, even if it would be ugly as sin in a modern product.

Investigators/prosecutors are pressured from many directions towards the very easy wins and occasionally political/non-controversial headline grabbers. Going after these companies is very hard, very controversial, and politically mixed at best (popular action but the companies have huge money to fund your opponents). We have collectively done a terrible job incentivizing the legal system to beat ass on corporate while collar crime.

Classic “we must show good faith and good will before the judicial system by keeping our stuff offline, until proceedings are complete”

“Does the other side need to show any good faith?”

“No, in fact the judge is more likely to side either then the more angry and aggressive they are”

“….great”

I really deeply wish they had attempted a profile that was 64mm wide folded and double unfolded. Height is less important.

The whole advantage of having any screen at all when folded is something quick to access and *one handable*. Just looking at the Duo, it appears too wide for that by a large amount.

If I’m forced to two hand the thing I’ll just get a phablet: no folding mechanism, no unfolding step before using properly, no gigantic price hike (guessing).
