We migrated to Ubuntu from CentOS as well. It was simply because Rocky wasn’t established enough at the time and we haven’t had a reason yet to again look elsewhere. Tho we haven’t also phased out most VMs for containers of some sort.

And now my opinion has soured on Proton and I am a paying client.

I live in probably one of the poorest districts in my state. Google basically gives these things away for free for the management contract on top of the gsuite contracts the districts get.

I actually learned about this on Notgabbyb‘s YouTube channel. It’s insane what we learn about and then somehow don’t riot on.

Tap to pay on a controller seems a bit much but at the same time using that over manually entering my CC everytime now a win, as I don’t save my payment method.

It’s one of those I believe it without reading it only because it’s so easy to start one now. You get that quick dopamine fix get to the basic step of output, then get distracted and move onto something else.

Wife is a nurse. They trialed this out where she works and it was seriously a horrible experience. She ended up spending more time fixing the output then just taking her short hand notes.

I’ll be honest it’s been over 10 years at this point. But we had to virtualize a dying Gateway 2000 that had Windows XP on it. As part of that we needed ISA to keep working. I found some USB ISA adapters and ordered them. It took a lot of messing around with Workstation, the host Windows 7 and drivers on the VM. I can’t remember all the details at this point :(

I get it’s a personal thing but yeah I’d still separate them. Tv != Movie.

Reminds me of setting up VMware Workstation with USB ISA cards to keep a line running. Ugh

Can I ask why you have TV shows in the same folder? I have a /video folder and under that /tv /movies /kidsmovies /kidstv. Just kinda curious.

Amazon is making it harder and harder to copy third party books onto the devices.

It’s been a broader trend of businesses downsizing the square footage when they can and when they can’t they start to mandate in office to justify the cost.

I was stating that MS Paint mis categorized a Print Screen screenshot as AI generated when pasted. Which pushed me to install PaintdotNet onto my laptop instead.

I had this trigger the other day incorrectly and went and installed Paint.net. I pasted in a screenshot I took and just wanted to resize it. I got a banner saying it was made with AI and would be updated to reflect that.
