How do they feed the game screen to the models? I imagine the models are too slow if you send 60FPS, but I feel like that’s also the case if you maybe feed it 1FPS? If you go any slower, you’ll miss too much info?

I never understand this sentiment. I do SRE/DevOps/Platform Engineering/Infrastructure Engineering, and I definitely do need to know how underlying technologies work. Even when everything is kubernetes and YAML.

If you run simple workloads, it’s probably not necessary but then you’ll probably be paid for that. Your company can also choose to outsource complexity to the cloud, and you’ll just be writing YAML. Then there’s also companies where you host everything yourself AND you have large/high workloads, then you still need people with understanding.

With your type of comments, it feels like you’re pretending a developer who writes WordPress websites does the same work as someone doing Erlang for instance. You’ll have different skill sets for every type of engineer, and they’ll all be necessary.

But why does it need to be reversed?

We are at the same time experiencing all the challenges and consequences of depleting the planet of resources, a warming climate and shortages everywhere. Why can less people in a natural way not be part of the solution?

I imagine they might wait, to make sure it’s legally obtained Bitcoin.

“neowhimsical” would be a more accurate description. Definitely not “brutalist”, I’m unsure if the founders of this term ever saw anything brutalist.

> You aren’t scrolling for pleasure; you are scrolling for the promise of pleasure.

I am interested, but it's written by AI and that writing style really puts me off.

It’s a limitation of their dataset. If you take all domains, it definitely creates a different picture.

For both France and the UK, less than 15% of sites are behind a CDN. For both, around 95% use Cloudflare.

So in terms of percentages, there’s not much of a difference.

Interlinked. Within cells interlinked.

I wonder how they test to see the agent is off baseline. ;)

Check out the Charybdis from BastardKB: https://bastardkb.com/product/charybdis-mini-prebuilt-preord...

They also have self-assembly kits where you solder it together yourself. That’s what I did, the instructions were great!

I’d be happy for a content producer wide subscription that would disable ads on all participating sites. As long as that doesn’t exist, I’m happy with my adblocker.

Next to that, my device, my choice what I get to see and what I don’t get to see.

There’s a long way between NW >100 million and making 60K EUR.

Maybe if they taxed NW >100 million, you wouldn’t need a 50% tax on work.

Good advice about not enjoying a book and putting it down isn’t a failure on your part. Same for the part about reading multiple books. This blocked me for a while, if I decided to start a book I HAD to read that book and I HAD to finish it. It’s a great way to kill something you’d otherwise enjoy.

One thing that irked me wrong was the part about audiobooks and attention:

> Listening to audio while cooking or cleaning or whatever you do is not the same thing; you are not 100% concentrated on the content. Also, reading is faster than listening, so use your time wisely.

First of all, sometimes you are not concentrating a 100% on something and that is fine. I listen to podcasts while driving, I often miss sentences or longer bits because there’s more traffic that I focus on. That’s fine. I can either go back or accept it.

Second, this is coming from the person that said:

> I read a book when I cook lunch or dinner, and I read a book when eating breakfast.

> I have become good at walking my dog while reading

Edit: formatting

This is just incorrect with a way too small set of websites. Their estimates are more than double.

However, that is if you take all websites into account. If you only take the most popular websites/biggest companies, their estimates are closer to reality.

According to the dutch public health institute, the longer the tick is in the body, the bigger the chance of transmission. Early removal also does not prevent lyme, it just reduces the chances.

Next to that, in The Netherlands we have a site to report tick bites and if they had lyme disease or not. It’s good to know if you should be extra vigilant after a bite from a certain area. I think the self-test could be very useful for such sites.

I’m not obese or overweight and while my main meals (breakfast and dinner) are generally very healthy - I can still eat a lot of trash (ultra processed)food as snacks.

I’m sure that could have an effect.
