> doesn't make sense for ICE to behave like some unaccountable secret police that hires the biggest assholes they can find who can then do whatever they want

ICE is run by the same people today as it was under Obama. No one had a problem with Deporter-in-Chief Obama. Any notion that ICE is "some unaccountable secret police" is unsubstantiated nonsense.

Could you make the same argument about in person chats out loud?

If so, then they better record everything their employees say!

Oh that's easy. *They aren't*

An employee has one job: to help their employer make money. That's it.

If they aren't doing their job (by harming the reputation of their employer), then they shouldn't be employed.

Title is misleading. Has nothing to do with union protections.

Sounds like a strong case. Why should companies be forced to employ people who actively work to harm the reputation of said company?

No lol we won't have fully self driving cars in our lifetime. We would need cars to fully understand human speech and understanding and be able to react with 100% accuracy 100x faster than humans.

Possible? Yes, but not for decades to come.

Article is dumb. He says don't write readable code for two reasons: 1) refactoring someone else's code might hurt their feelings. 2) you might need more functionality later.

Wut.

Write clean code. Write better unit tests.
