I think it were the content creators and influencers who started it to avoid demonetizing and soft-censorship (the content not being promoted instead of being banned) and then regular people displayed sheep behaviour and started monkeying it. Tiktok influencers are perfectly capable of originating something when their bottom line is concerned.

This is stupid analysis. Complaining without nuance about "D004 - parameter has no description" suggests the article was written by an AI agent, because some parameters simply don't need any description. Prime example is "url" parameter explicitly mentioned in the article - unless there are multiple possible url parameters, adding the description just bloats context.

Can you explain more about the vm-start/vm-stop? I don't understand why you start/halt the VM and wait for Tailscale, you could just keep it running.

Viewing this in Firefox on Linux I see the outline of the travels before the map loads, then the map loads over it and I can't see it anymore.
