WOW!

Comments pointing out that this is illegal in the UK and Europe under the GDPR removed! What gives?

> the myth of the "expiration date"

We (UK) have use by dates, and best before dates.

They mean exactly what they say.

i.e. Raw chicken will have a use by date, eat it beyond this and you risk getting the shits. On the other hand all fruit, veg, tins and most dairy simply have best before dates.... meaning use your eyes and nose to see if it is OK.

> in the US

Ah, this makes sense.

I recall eating in US restaurants and being given ridiculously large portions... something we half-joked - half-seriously suggested was down to the size of some of the patrons. Presumably is it instead the expectation that some of the food is taken home.

Is this a thing where you are from?

I suggest here in Blighty, the waiters would be rather confused by such a request; not to mention something of a social faux pas.

Why is this comment downvoted? It is perfectly legitimate.

If you disagree with it, post a response, don't just lazily click downvote. This isn't Reddit. Downvoting is for replies that distract from the conversation, not for replies you don't agree with FFS.

> almost chain of evidence

It is, and was a chain of evidence for me. One that saved my arse.

Type up your reports and spreadsheets, but raw data should always be kept in a proper hardbound paper lab notebook.... one that references the filenames of your typed up electronic data.

Question.

By "Travellers" do you mean, 'new age travellers' (aka hippies) or the thieving scrotes who live a 'traditional way of life' badly tarmacing driveways?

The former still attend Glastonbury for free (they clean up the site for 'free' entry); the latter are a menace who started to show up and whom I'm glad the fence has now kept out.

> you had to pay ..... just to get a bottle of water.

The fact that somebody even tried to do this suggests the organisers were dangerous fuckwits. The outcome was unsurprising.
