Your brain is still developing as a teen, it doesn't help you much when you have to learn too early to control it if you don't have help.

And help should be parents not giving you the ipad and telling you why instead of looking at your teen how it fries its brain

Funny, two companies i think really suck exchange their CEO.

MongoDB a product which had hard issues with keeping data, never solved a real problem.

And then Meta...

Garbage in garbage out?

Because hn has some kind of a community and not every comment is gold (see yours for example) and people are able to skip comments if they don't enjoy them?

Honestly, I think this 'billion' number is also just the ball park for companies you need to pay if you want to buy them.

OpenRouter was sold for 7.5 Billion.

Lets just accept, that these people don't evaluate a company by value but by magic market "what is a sum someone needs to pay for buying a company and what company is somehow worth it to actually buy for this type of money but more in a sense of adding this to your portfolio"

You are adults, you can control what your kid gets and what not.

No kid needs an iPad.

Man are you kidding me?

They haven't had these kids from the beginning. This statement doesn't refute any environmental issues.

Nonetheless we know that humans are neural networks. These are formed. There is something inbetween the initial setup and your human in prison which lead to this or something missing which lead to this.

We can't even properly fix depression and co.

They will build the task in question in a virtual environment (computer whiz shit) and simulate in there how to solve that task.

They then either tell someone to execute it in real world or will upload this to a robot.

Nvidia has already the Omniverse for this and others are working on World Models.

You are on hacker news. You have a computer and internet, potentially something to do with computers.

You are fully capable of doing proper research yourself especially when you are that interested in this.

You assume that a random doctor on HN can answer you a Pfizer specific 'secret' thing you can't find out yourself?

Come on...

You are ignorant and disrespectful and i'm higly disappointed from human to human.

"friendly enough to address these issues".

He is not part of some research group who is researching this type of topic. You assume he is a bad faith actor with your "probably not".

Either accept the status quo / research on this topic, or do the research yourself but don't take some potential conspiricy shit to hn by cheap shooting someone else with your 'probably not'.

And if you really struggle with this type of things, get help.

There is a significant qualitative difference, very obvouse one too.

The complexity of tasks GPT-6 can do are not compareable to GPT-4. We see this daily. From CVEs which became a real problem after GPT-4, generic tool use (blender, paint, etc.), agentic work (GPT-4 was at a minute or so, GPT-6 can do hours).

They broke through significant barriers in a short period of time. I would def count the agentic quality of doing hours of work as one of the main proofs.

You are dismissive instead of explaining yourself.

We now have a system which can use tools and you still say this is just 'computer whiz shit'?

A computer is a tool, a very generic one which we adopted to control our most critical systems.

Enlighten me, when do you become impressed?

Easily?

Do you think the global education system is easy? Or efficient? Or cheap?

Its not.

And the higher education systems around our globe ar neither.

It can use blender and build you a 3d model of a 2d picture.

It can play a digital piano, it can make the piano first and then play it.

It can build 3d simulation based on research paper.

It already surpasses plenty of 'big brains' on our whole planet.
