>I am quitting my job because I've just realized that everything, without exception, that I've done as a programmer has been done with the goal of making already rich people even richer.

Do you have an idea as to what your new job will be, and if so, and will you be doing to ensure that you won't be making rich people even richer in this new position?

I take it they're using Claude Code & Claude Design for design now?

I find Claude Design to be really interesting. It made a huge splash, and now...nothing. I believe it hasn't been updated in a few months. I read a comment here that said that it was like the person who spun it up had moved off the project or abandoned it. Keeping in line with the thread topic, perhaps Anthropic is just biding its time until making humongous updates that will vastly increase its capabilities?

>They also reduce visceral and ectopic fat that accumulates around the abdomen and organs, which may help curb the inflammatory and metabolic signals that promote aging.

Interesting, I wonder if someone will do a study where they pair a GLP-1 with tesamorelin to see if there's any synergy there in terms of fat reduction and reduced aging.

I'm of the belief that the Fed raising rates won't do much at all. There's no reason to believe that raising rates will combat inflation coming from oil prices that fluctuate based on tweets and bombing, and it seems that at this point Coreweave is dealing with high interest rates not from the Fed raising rates, but because the market is waking up and realizing that there's a hell of a lot of hype in datacenters and that risk hasn't been priced accordingly.

>What are we even doing here?

We are attempting to convince regulatory bodies around the world that much more regulation is necessary.

Yup, I was looking for that on Openrouter, but I guess they're confident enough in this model that they deemed the contributor tier unnecessary.

The primary issue is Social Security. It’s the biggest driver of spending, and nobody wants to do anything to cap its costs such as means testing or straight up lowering the amount it can pay out.

As for the people that will inevitably bleat about how this is just horrible and we need to lift the cap on taxable SS income, that wouldn’t solve the core problem either unless you pair it with spending caps or cuts.

This is the first thing I thought of when I clicked on the post. Great memories!

I'm not sure I understand why they would route it to other models. It can't be that they don't have enough compute. Maybe worried that the answer from their own models would be bad? Doesn't really make sense, but I could be missing something.

I'd love to see the drinking stats for male millennials over the past 15 to 20 years. I bet there's a big drop as they age out of prime beer drinking age and start moving into middle age. I say this as I'm part of that demographic, and I hardly drink anymore after having one or 2 craft beers a night in my 20s.

Edit: The downturn in drinking has huge ramifications for restaurants as they make a lot of profit on alcohol.

Ah ok, this makes a lot more sense. We have places that look exactly like this near my area of Florida as well, and it's 100% in the "industrial" zoned area. No homes, only commercial businesses and small industrial setups.

>this part of Florida is bananas

All parts of Florida are bananas :)

A gun range being run out of a storage unit? I realize that Florida has gun laws that people would consider nuts (you can have a gun range in your backyard and nobody can really stop you), but I'd think that the contract of the storage unit would absolutely say no gun ranges.

The reforms that were passed a few years ago are actually working somewhat OK. I'm 3 miles from the beach on the coast and pay under $2k for private home owners insurance.
