Your solution is to take away tools and ask to do a task under constant supervision? People take exams like this every day.

> That doesn’t work in a huge percentage of areas in the US. Heat, cold, darkness

Not to mention the idea is to reduce inner city pollution and noise pollution levels. Current trucks are despised in cities for this. It’s worth sacrificing on some other aspects to achieve that.

I recently visited NYC and I can’t help but feel the city has a wide culture of laissez faire unenforcement. So many grocery and convenience stores in the city have no posted prices for any items, even in the airport. As a foreigner I was pretty shocked but the people I talked to said it was pretty much normal and there’s nothing really that can be done. Mind you we checked and it is actually not legal to have no visible pricing. I’m not sure what it is that’s stopping the city from actually doing anything about it, like the truck issue it seems it would be trivial to enforce.

Who they market their users are != who their users actually are.

Obviously all the marketing will focus on creative uses because it makes it a lot easier to sell to people on a 1500$ machine. The truth is 95% percent of people are using their computers as glorified web browsers and the computers are built to do that extremely well.

The article has acronyms (USP, CTA,...) that the author never cares to actually explain what they mean. I find that it's a really opaque and hostile way to approach a subject and it mostly makes me feel like the author wants to sound like he really knows what he's talking about. He stretches simple points (Have a clear mission statement/product description.) into longwinded statements with unnecessarily complicated jargon. Really just feels like I'm being pitched a service the whole time I'm reading.

Looking at the Adobe website, you can easily get in touch with sales reps if you have any questions about the products. These are products that cost hundreds of dollars per year and are marketed as tools for professionals. If you fly through without reading anything, or if you don't understand and don't ask for help... I'm not sure what you expect people to do.

What's wrong with that? If they are giving you 500+$ worth of stuff for you to sign on to a contract, I'm sure they are going to protect themselves from people just signing on to get free stuff and immediately canceling.

If you sign a 2-3 year contract and want to break it before it ends, there will always be some kind of penalty.
