What surprises me every time with the pelican benchmark, is that drawing style is very consistent within each model across, what I believe, are independent sessions. Same tones, similar background... Just more refined with increasing effort. I would expect much more variability.

I've had the same experience in my personal use. Unreliable output, thinking token leaking into the conversation... Time to first token and tk/s also vary wildly per provider.

The worst case of hallucination I had, was DS v4 flash switching to Italian mid-conversation and impersonating a podcast host for no reason.

I suppose we don't have the same definition of 'stochastic parrot'.

The stance is defensible but the article reads like it was written in 2023. Still using the term 'stochastic parrot', in 2026, when century-old mathematical problems are being proven by LLMs almost on a weekly basis doesn't make sense.

Beautifully ironic that "Dishonesty and ethics" is listed as one of his research fields.

Command palettes are great in this regard. They make commands accessible and discoverable entirely from the keyboard. I'm happy to see them becoming more popular.

I'm not sure what you want to track but I'd recommend becoming a stationary nerd . Experiment with different notebooks, paper quality, try fountain pens, pencils, pastels... Pick the combination that brings you joy. If you find pleasure in the tactile act of putting ink (or graphite) on paper, you'll never want to quit journaling. Believe me.

I'm only half joking. Physical, handmade artefacts beat everything else, and will outlive whatever tracking app is currently trending.

Start on YT and go down the rabbit hole.

I literally can't think without a pen in my hand. Especially when I'm stuck, writing anything, or even better, drawing, activates my brain cells.

Typing forces you to think linearly, it feels constrained. That's not how the brain works.

And that doesn't use "worth flagging" and "load-bearing" in every other sentence.

Maybe the /export command is what you're looking for.

'Export the current conversation to a file or clipboard'

It's finally there but you have to enable it in `about:config`. Search for `browser.profiles.enabled`.

Maybe a low-profile keyboard with very-light actuation switches could help. Also choc keyboards have less spacing between the keys than traditional MX keyboards, which should required less finger travel.

Using a thumb key for Enter, would definitely help with your pinky.

No, I found the issue. It went all in on unit tests and wrote way too many.

Not sure if this is related, but has anyone seen their allowance used up unexpectedly fast? Had Claude Code Web showing service disruption warnings, and all of a sudden I'm at 92% usage.

I'm on the pro plan, only using Sonnet and Haiku. I almost never hit the 5-hour limit, let alone in less than 2 hours.
