Except these Antifa literally use the exact same logo of a red and black flag. Not everything can be hand waved away by saying "American fascists".

They can't and that's not what happened. The Dutch government believes Antifa to commit illegal acts. Enough for them to at least consider classifying them a terrorist organization about a year ago.

Egging them on online, sure, but these groups have always existed and we're plenty stupid without Russia's help.

It wouldn't have. They had over a billion in debt, which Google casually fixed. Google then very conveniently supplied them with GCP server power. And remember all of this was in like 2014, way before the AI hype. They wouldn't have had access to capital to survive long enough to make it to today.

Is this really that weird, considering labor now involves mostly looking at a screen? In other words, is the total amount of time we see family really going down vs say the 1800s, when people used to work many more hours.

The sharing and alcohol were company provided, the game of Guinness is almost certainly a silly one where after your first sip the foam lands in the middle of the G. And based on my own experience if you were to fire everyone who has ever taken psychedelics there wouldn't be many people left in at least SF and NYC tech. He shared the in California legal drug he used to deal with his mother's death. To be honest, the reason is so dumb, it feels like someone was just looking for anything to use against him..

I didn't know Netflix was such a stick-up-the-ass garbage place to work at. What an incredibly dumb thing to fire someone over.

That's a very optimistic view. They care about getting elected, and enough tech-savvy people in the country made a big enough stink about it a critical mass of "normal people" got pissed. If they cared about privacy this whole thing wouldn't have been possible in the first place.

The irony.

You're extrapolating one somewhat rude adiplomatic president to America going to war with Europe? That's enough internet for you, sir. Time to go for a walk.

And in this hypothetical world where having dangerous opinions has consequences even though sometimes we draw the line incorrectly, I'm assuming you think your personal views could never be marked as such? We still live in a free society where at least the aim is to not hurt people in any way for expressing their own views.

The problem here is that everyone thinks their ideas aren't radical and that sharing them isn't indoctrination. I once left a religion, peacefully, not loudly or trying to tell anyone else how to live their life. People still in the religion thought I was radical and dangerous to the fabric of society. Charlie invited people to have a debate. Whether he was right or wrong at least to me with my lived experiences feels irrelevant, if that's dangerous to society then society is wrong.

The idea that the world will ever have enough compute is ridiculous. I'm sure all of this sudden growth will need to be digested at some point, but that won't mean the industry will permanently lose a big chunk of its market cap.
