They are a real segmentation in some places but as you can probably guess that is few and far between. A line on the road is also in the minority with the rest being nothing at all.

Not sure, not my domain. My comment was just highlighting that comparing the yields on two sovereign bonds with the same maturity doesn’t necessarily mean one is riskier than the other, there are other factors.

Sort of. You also have to consider exchange rate futures, the value of the currency you will be getting paid in may change dramatically.

Disagree slightly with audio quality for cars. I recently got a car with "good" speakers and the difference from regular car speakers is striking. Although I'm sure that the curve quickly flattens on spending more to get more quality, going above the base car speaker level has been awesome for me.

My thought is that if you don’t care enough to even write it then why should I care to read it? The answer for me is that I don’t.

Oh no way I didn’t know Hellfire was unofficial. I don’t even remember where I got it back in the day but I still remember the CD..

Because I actually do love Excel for my uses, and I have about 15 years of muscle memory for all of the keyboard shortcuts.

We use it in finance for the reasons above. Microsoft actually just added GPT 5 to Copilot so it’s much better than it used to be. I’ve used it to help write scripts in VBA and it’s really good for my use cases. Before GPT 5 it was worse than useless.

I'd also suggest Siddhartha for this. Having read it at different points of my life makes it uniquely special.

Oh, I have a similar pet peeve but for watching live sports. Sometimes they’ll cut from the ‘main’ camera angle to a different one mid-action but it will be slightly out of sync and noticeable. For whatever reason this is super noticeable to me and bugs me to no end.

I use Excel for the first few as well! I actually find it to be easier than using Python/Javascript, at least early on.

You’re gonna need a bigger boat

I agree. For whatever reason if I have 10 things to do or 1 thing to do I make completing them take the same amount of time.

No, you're pretty much exactly right. I am not a programmer by trade and when searching around and trying different technologies the first one that really clicked for me was HTMX. For whatever reason, handling all of that logic on the backend felt more natural. I've since started learning React and it's amazing how much 'easier' some of those UI conveniences really are. However, in places where they aren't truly necessary it's hard to beat the convenience and ease of a small Flask/SQLite/HTMX app, for me.

But yeah, if that doesn't really fit your mental model then I don't see a huge reason to give it a try.. other than it IS fun!
