I can appreciate clever writing by humans because another human did it. Maybe I'd still critique it for being convoluted. But there'd be some kind of interaction with me and another person, even though I might leave with a negative opinion/feeling.
If an LLM tries clever writing, it's just the result of a statistical model using its dataset. There's no joy in reading the extra fluff because I know there's no-one that spent the time on doing it. In fact, I know that the person on the other side didn't want to spent the time doing it. And it leaves me wondering why I should even read all of that in the first place. If we're using AI to be more efficient, why not have it just generate boring, efficient, articles that just give you the information without pretending to present any opinions or jokes.
TL;DR if you want to be efficient, be efficient; don't generate fluff
> so getting the point of the composition across is my priority. I'll auto-tune and quantize whatever if the composition comes across better.
Which also means you might even move things out of sync/tune if the composition asked for it, right? The point mentioned here is just the trend of lazy fully gridded mixes where the entire song is the exact bpm all the way through and nothing strays off the grid.
It also gives musicians a false sense of skill if the producer just gives thumbs up and all they hear back is their own quantized drums. Instead of, you know, practicing and actually nailing the beat.
If all you do is quantize it to the grid, why even bother setting up a drumkit to record. We all know those hits are being sample replaced anyway, might as well just pull up the midi kit.
If you need to tell people you're better than someone, you probably aren't.
And that differs from US foreign policy, how?
