Pft.

The scene is about making art and cool stuff with tech. AI is just the latest tech, it’s entirely what the scene is about.

To deny that is just to be a silly snob and just to show them for who they really are.

I still miss Stadia.

It's crazy that after all this time, there still isn't anything that is better than it.

Google doesn't have enough compute to serve there own customers.

I have AI pro via a promo offer with my phone and Antigravity has been almost unusable the past week, exceptionaly slow and they completely nerfed the promo accounts by not giving access to Argon or the new claude models as well as making Flash 3.8 much worse.

Complete bait and switch from the company that advertises that the phone comes with $227 worth of a subscription, then later turns on a flag that marks these accounts as promo and cut access to it because of it. But i understand why, because they simply don't have compute to handle it, but they are still giving out these accounts.

I believe they likely used software they already had or just changed a software. As from what I read, it removed a certain system and limitions in the software which is used to ensure teams aren't cheating (traction control), which was triggering in error due to the strange conditions of the race. So all they were doing is disabling this system

Be careful, they are evolving, and everyone was worried that AI was taking over.

It's a massive bummer for me because I'm on an old 2015 iMac and was looking to upgrade soon but buy a fairly heafty machine, but the combined Ram price increases and the fact these still sell like hotcakes has made me reconsider.

I like to buy high end and then keep it for a long time. I'd love local AI But even with a fairly large spend, these machines won't run that much local AI well and that's now, I'm not sure if in the future I'd want even more RAM, seems to be it is better to budget for an AI sub + a less insane machine.

Yeah I used Ox alpha earlier this week when it was free and deepseek flash when it was free on opencode. Both were great. Z.ai’s subscription doesn’t look very good versus the others.

I burn through my current Google AI pro sub for the week in about 2 and a half days so wanted something extra to add to it, but don’t want to buy any expensive ultra plan. Flash models have got me about 98% of what I need, but quotas are still a bit low.

How much usage do you find you get on these kinda models (I know the pricing changes a bit) compared to a $20 sub say for Google AI Pro in anti gravity?

I hate how difficult it is to compare prices when looking at subscriptions.

Would $20 in open router, using models like GLM get me more or less?

Shocking pricing.

Ugh. I was waiting it out on a very old Mac, but the pricing these days is insane, so now to wait it out for at least two years more and hope for better pricing or just suck it up and pay a lot for less.

It was a only a promo to have it on the free one and it was only recently added at that, it's been removed after the recent price increase.

Meta Spark has been added as a free model, I guess as a replacement, since this is now the cheap model at reasonable intelligence.

It's available with Go (subscription) and they are working on making it cheaper after the recent price increase, that may see them add it back to free.

Is it perhaps that what you thought mattered was misguided in the first place?

This realisation that you have come too, will likely lead to a better place, much like all struggles.

Still fairly poor limits in anti gravity despite the price cut, which seems to be API only.

I pay for Google AI Pro (Bought a year in advance) and Gemini is so bad, I burned through 75% of my five hour allowance trying to get it to fix something.

I pasted the same prompt into OpenCode, set to Deepseek v4 flash free and did it first try.

I'm was going to purchase Opencode GO to try it, but seems my timing is really bad :( hope it doesn't go up too much in Opencode or they find other providers. Bad timing!
