So your point is that we should put spikes on the front end of cars?

Everyone who is curious? I mean did you know that you can run something on a real quantum computer for free? Go try out something new, or are we only getting excited about the newest AI slop machine release these days?

If you handle database requests naively, every request to the database may open its own connection. This is a super simple approach but will exceed the amount of connections the database can or wants to handle concurrently.

One solution is to increase your app complexity and introduce a layer that manages connection pooling or queuing.

Or you can just keep your app naive and simple and put pgbouncer transparently in front of your DB. Even for multiple apps, so instead of every app increasing in complexity, reimplementing connection handling, you just have pgbouncer.

More anecdata, but around me, the opportunities for recent grads and self-taughts are less than try were.

If I was to bet, it seems that tasks that were given to new hires are now done by senior engineers and a prompt.

A collegue claims that the difference between an MBA and a mediocre compsci grad have disappeared due to vibe coding, so the compscis grads feel the job market is tougher because of increased competition.

All I know is that it's super hard to get junior devs to not be junior anymore because they don't have the opportunity anymore to learn on easy tasks.

If I put my tinfoil hat on, one of the reasons may be in the disclaimer:

>An investment fund associated with Sam Altman held a passive investment in Software Applications Incorporated

Maybe it's just as banal as "Sam paid himself a bit more money".

That conversation reads like two consultant LLMs talking past each other.

Sounds interesting, but voice input isn't working for me there. I guess I'm too niche with my Mac and Firefox setup.

Is there a law yet, such as "The more comments you read, the probability of mistaking a comment for AI-generated content approaches 1" or something?

Uh nice! I also have very reasonable explanations why it was Russia, the Ukrainians, the Chinese or Poland!

I can even go for some of the middle-eastern countries or the nefarious Danish! Should we like found a forum or something were we can trade things that come to our minds unasked?

>C_b = (T_s - T_v) * ROC * 1/52

I have so many problems with this line

Can't find anything from anthropic like that.

Do you have any sources for the extraordinary claim that "censorship is logically inconsistent in every moral framework"? Because without further arguments, this sounds very intellectually simple.

As has been pointed out: Give them perpetual funding according to the needs of the children, not pervert unrelated systems to provide an unstable income stream.

I'm reading it as social forces making certain topics unpublishable. In his words

>facts which the Soviet government would prefer to keep hidden, is next door to unprintable.

All topics mentioned so far as "censored" have enjoyed enough publication and even being successful political platforms.

What people here mistake as censorship is usually regurgitated bad arguments being unpopular

I've mentioned 3. I've lost 2 popularity points so far. Am I being censored?

I find COVID to be an especially bad example. the whole spectrum is represented in politics.
