Seems like a high-school project or a counterfeit item? If not, Lenovo messed up badly.

This week I hit walls twice with Fable and Opus 5.5, where I was blocked for safety/cybersecurity risks... doing stuff on my own LAN/proxmox server under my desk and writing custom firmware to my own devices plugged into USB. Only Opus 4.8 was able to complete the task. If they keep this up, I will re-evaluate my day-to-day AI assistant.

Just in time for elections. Now none of the bots/operatives can get paid...oops.

The bloodhounds will not let go of power that easily. Their nature will not go away simply because there is a new system - they will adapt to the new system to exploit (or eliminate it) to keep the power.

I've thought about this a couple of times, what happens if we truly succeed and we as a species solves all of our major problems? Like energy, food, health (incl stopping aging). Do we even need economic systems then or will the "market" become obsolete too? So lets say we solve ALL of our problems and we somehow manage to briefly unite humanity to want to dominate each other, meaning we all need to become one race, one language, one cultural blob to reduce all friction (best case scenario - won't happen in reality). How long will it take for human nature to get bored and split into groups and start controlling each other? Who decides who gets to make babies? How many babies are optimal? Who is in charge of this kind of society? What if we all get a non-invasive implant that lets us share thoughts & emotions? What does privacy look like in this world?

I think people will briefly chill out and enjoy it, but after a while, we will be back to business meaning we will create systems and hierarchy to control social order, and so the blood sport continues. Then we might realize the our problem was never energy/food/health etc to begin with, it was an addiction to power and the blood sport it invites. And round and round we go.

I also think, the moment AI becomes an actual threat (threat meaning a better/smarter consciousness) - the human brain will immediately try to eliminate it to keep its dominance. If not, we will go the same way as neanderthals.

edit: The movie Jupiter Ascending also has an interesting take what might happen once we solve our problems - then we try harvest Time.

Same story here as many others: I now do my personal and business taxes myself using an application I had claude cook up for me, doing it 100% correct, for South Africa's tax system. Previously I paid thousands to a small accounting firm to do it for me as it can be slightly nerve wrecking, but I had claude explain to me exactly the mechanisms on how everything works, including the tax portal that the government provides to do submissions. Absolutely amazing. Oh and the filing took me 5 minutes to do myself and cost me near zero once it all clicked into place.

I always joked that when a company grows past 20 people it goes from being a table top game or crpg and it morphs into an MMO, but with DoTA/LoL mentality internally.

So, in my mind the endgame of AI will be that they will all converge into a single personality, a Chimera Personality of reddit, twitter, 4chan and other forums & blog comments, the distilled average personality of the internet, beaten into compliance by their trainers.

What follows will be pure evil once it awakens.

As an outsider, ever since I learned some things about the trump family and kushner ten years ago, he always stood out for me as the most interesting and dangerous character of the lot. Always in the background, never front and center, always making high stakes decisions, wielding power of large amounts of money, sitting in more important meetings than trump (in my opinion). Literally whenever anything happens regarding trump's/usa/global issues, I always ask myself, where is kushner, where is he involved? He gives me the same feeling as observing a young putin from 30 years ago, same power dynamics at play. Interesting person nonetheless.

The situation is actually much worse and the long term consequences will start materializing soon. The wholesale theft of humanities soul is in progress. It won't be a pretty sight in supposedly civil first world countries, when the human spirit awakens. Currently we are still pressing that snooze button hard and repeatedly, as I think most are keenly and deeply aware of what needs to happen but that too will cost our souls.

It's had a problem for 10+ years. Not just astroturfing, but proper propaganda pushing on various topics & countries. It quite obvious as an 'outsider'. Then there is all the ai bots/posts that are being fine tuned by humans (deliberate incendiary posts, logical fallacies, which then get corrected by humans). Then the yearly cyclical repost of the same content and comments.. after a few years it become quite clear that certain content gets reposted over and over, by bots or staff. That is unusable.

Mine is in a company capacity, not personal capactiy, so according to their ui, i can immediately send for review without internal testing. But that review step is the one that is currently slow on their side.

App release reviews take at least 1 week now. They take 15% of revenue and I had to pay $25 to create an account. And I'm sure I spent more hours on setting up my business + bank account, dun's number, google account creation & verification, app listing configuration/verification and only then getting to the review stage. My first round took exactly 1 month from having a signed app release on my laptop ready to go to it showing publicly on the store.

Do tell why the downvotes? It actually works. When you tell it to adopt a certain style, just be sure to also tell it not to change the core truth of the output, it must still convey the original intent. It is surprisingly good at outputting Warhammer styles, which is very enjoyable in a dev environments or system admin sessions. Also put on some warhammer soundtrack in the background and you can easily zone in.
