https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_mining_in_Nevada

You gotta remember, if those miners weren't basically jumped up amateurs they wouldn't be on a tv show.

Yup, trees, narrower streets, round abouts, speed bumps, (no one would agree to it) one way road spikes... All sorts of proven tricks.

I mean ask OP, I don't know what's what in the Scheme rXrs or Common Lisp standard libraries.

Although my general stance remains, most lisp code bases I've seen are remarkably verbose which leads to a glazing over far more than the lack of distinct symbols or prefix notation

this actually gets at the real problem. Lisps are wordy as hell. like jesus

  (split-sequence:split-sequence #\Space line)
now imagine if that was

  (split-string " " line)
image if the whole function was

  (defun split (line)
    (remove [\(word) (= "" word)] [split-string " " line]))
or even

  (defun split (line)
    (remove "" [split-string " " line]))

*using [] in place of rainbow parens for clarity of sub arguments

Method here is a little iffy I gotta say. They had people just watch video and judge which direction the baby was looking, then average the closest two.

also the total difference is like a second and a half out of 70.

also also a parent had to hold the child which introduces a mechanism of biasing.

Yuuup. tracking consumers and finding spending correlations to exploit was the entire reason for the "Data Science" and "ML" pushes that got us here.

They're optimizing the cable you can trip over/have to walk around/remember both at home and at, eventually, parking lots.

I'm on team Pluto here but no, the problem was that Mike Brown found like a dozen 'planets' and no one wanted to deal with that. It was closer to preventing someone from making a name for themselves.
