I'm sure this is happening but I also wonder if ironically those systems are hardened by adversaries. I could imagine nation state actors, once they're in, hardening the systems themselves so they can keep their presence and exclude others.

Using that access is the kind of thing that is only done when there's a need and in the case of really critical stuff that can be years in the future - or never.

One could even imagine hyper-critical exploits being shared back to the host. For instance if Russian agents got access to critical nuclear systems (or vice versa), I could imagine leadership warning the other side and getting out of the system entirely in order to maintain the status quo at the expense of pretenders.

The constitution will necessitate a certain structure so it's not like "it can't work". It is working and then at some point soon the structure will be reified and some will be given more power and different portfolios than others.

A published CVE is kind of late in the game even.

Apple will be head and shoulders better than the Samsung display - it just costs more than you feel like it should.

I remember reading an account of a number of intelligencia taking over a factory shortly after the Soviet revolution after it was nationalized and they got super dialed in an productivity shot up. The factory ran like a swiss watch.

It took nearly a year for things to regress. Bad actors started taking plum positions and the actual intellectuals didn't really want to be working in a factory long term and then there was the question of who got the benefits of this success.

It was fascinating though how heady it was for that first year when everybody was highly aligned and working smartly and in unison.

Oh you should try the accessibility feature for that with the little dots on the screen.

Reminds me of my wife chatting with this guy at a party and we were complaining about money problems and she says this proverb she had learned recently and said, "a man is rich if he has two hands".

Turns out the other person was Albie Sachs who was a hero and had his hand blown off during the apartheid era and took both arms out of his pockets and raised them up and said "I guess I'm not rich then" - that was some serious gallows humor :-)

Price crashes, builders go bankrupt, price oscillates heavily, pace of improvement goes way down.

Nice! Then you might really like ctrl+k. Go to the middle of the line and it will delete everything from the cursor to the end of the line.

Also Option and the right and left arrows to move from one word to the next. I don't really use this one much though

For those ctrl+a and ctrl+e are the way to go.

The carriage return is moving the typehead to the beginning of the line, not starting a new one.

Line feed is the command that is incrementing to the new line.

Those two commands almost always run together so it quickly became possible to invoke with a single CRLF command (in ancient computer times)

Did we get their emails? Would be interesting to tease out the differences between the Enron culture and the Theranos culture (and similarities)
