I quit being an emacs tourist about 5 years ago, this year I started rewriting my init.el with use-package and the popular packages (vertico, eglot, etc). My config is still a mess and there’s always something new I want to do. Sometimes I think about trying neovim or trying some editor that I wouldn’t have to config stuff that much, but I think I’d want to customize things a certain anyway.

For LLM stuff I’ve been using eca, or claude code in a vterm or ghostel. I’m still experimenting with this stuff but I don’t think emacs is getting in my way. Not sure if I’d recommend to everyone, though.

It says it supports "streaming" but it is unclear if it will support streaming apps like Spotify/Apple Music or their own music streaming service.

It's a shame that the adblocker is limited, though. I've been using Orion as a replacement for Firefox on iOS, which has support for extensions (including uBlock Origin) and better UI/UX in my opinion, but it is not open source.

Interesting but tiring, I gave up the first time, but was curious because of the comments here and tried again, without much attention and taking some breaks. On my device I had to scroll to reach the “next” button.

They allow extensions on the Android version. But yeah, on iOS I had to switch to Orion. It seems FF for iOS doesn’t get much attention.

I find Azure DevOps UI/UX very janky. Like, the work items sometimes are loaded in the frontend only and sometimes there is a refresh, then the URL in the browser is not the same of the work tree I am seeing; sometimes there is a lot of flicker/redirects to sign in. The wysiwyg editor sometimes preserve the color themes of the person who opened, it seems. The markdown editor is view or edit only. I probably faced more issues but I won’t remember now. But to say there are no issues, and it’s excellent, I cannot relate, had to chime in. Yeah, it works, but feels like an unpolished product, especially considering the resources it has. The uptime is better than GitHub’s, though.

I can relate, finding myself pressing the wrong keybindings when moving between i3 and emacs windows. The idea in the post is interesting but I am not sure how I’m going to solve this. I have been thinking about trying EXWM or switch to another WM. Tried KDE but it didn’t have support for multiple workspaces in the secondary screen. And after using i3wm I found it difficult to get back to other WMs.

Wondering what they will do when rust rejects a pr from them.

Not sure why you got downvoted. I wish this was a tag or something.

> I can't imaging writing code by myself again, specially documentation, tests and most scaffolding

Shouldn’t we bother to write these things?

It seems it would be possible to use this with minuet.el. I’m not familiar with it, though.

Seems Google is trying to make the price the only benefit on Android.

I wonder, excluding the freedom/device control and the price, what makes someone choose Android over iOS?
