Whilst I have personally never had an issue with LLMs writing unsafe rust my comment was meant to be facetious. I dont't mean to disregard the fact that LLMs are easily powerful enough to reduce the need for large frameworks and libraries.

I do question how sensible it is to write everything from scratch for every project instead of relying on existing libraries with greater support.

Why use C when LLMs also write stellar rust? You're not giving up any performance and you gain a modern toolchain and a safer language.

And as a next step you could have the LLM write the code such that you can use it in multiple projects. Making the token spend even more worthwile. And then maybe you can package it for other people to use as well, since the LLM wrote such stellar code that it would be idiotic for anyone to use anything else.

I have grown tired of people not accepting that a party can truly be far right and try to put it off as being a shift in perception of the general public.

I did not know that. Thanks for the info. I always use C# with Godot, but never had a use-case where i needed a web build.

What motivated you to use c++ rather than C#? Especially when you mention the usage of c++ being tedious, when I would argue using C# is equally straight forward as gdscript is.

You share the same frustration that I any many others also have. Google absolutely jumped the gun with their push to Gemini over Google Assistant. Some things are tied to permissions that Gemini needs. Other thigs - afaik - simply don't work with Gemini because it doesn't 'know' that it should use certain device functions

My monitor can run a pixel cleaning automatically when it detects that there is no longer a signal coming in. That way it periodically cleans, but has never done so while I was using it. I presume the author uses the same mechanism and just doesn't want to be bothered about it.

Not only 'pocket computers' are an issue. I was thoroughly shocked when I found out that websites can detect that the dev-tools are open. That is something that a website should never be able to know, yet here we are.

There have been numerous approaches doing things akin to that. I remember my university working on such a project. Or at least a similar one, representing a code base as a street network with traffic showing how data flows through the system.

I too, would like to have such a tool for viewing larger projects where the flow can be cumbersome to reason about. One issue I guess would be finding the right level of abstraction in the representation.

Whilst I agree a smart home offers some benefits that your 1884 switch simply cannot match. And the cruicial point is that the 30 seconds are the worst case situation where something went wrong on the network. Its not the usual operational experience you'll get.

For me, having to wait 30 seconds once every blue moon is a tradeoff I'm willing to make.

Absolutely. My setup which is about 1 month old already has 14 devices and I'm just getting started. Only having 6 devices really feels comically small for a study investigating the performance of communication protocols where device count can really make a differnce, as observed by even then changes from 1 to 6 devices.

It ideally can, yes, but if you choose to partake in the military operations by providing your LLM you at least bear some responsibility. When you don't give the DoW access to your LLM it may still be the case that actions will be taken that inflict some humans suffering. In that case you won't have had a hand in it though.

I've started building a visualization tool for mobile robots using the VDA5050 communication standard.

There are some solutions already out there but most are either slow, resource intensive, or both. Especially for larger fleets of robots. I'm using it to learn more about VDA5050, Rust and wgpu.
