all ai models can be jailbroken. The chinese open source ones above all.

But the entire EU is implementing stuff like this. Gov ID's, backdoors (swiss article 50a), etc.

Ok i actually agree with that. Imo the gov is going to have to print a lot of money to deal with the impacts of ai (covid was $5T), if we do it now that same dollar would go 10x further and the people would effectively be the largest owner of AI labs like Anthropic. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure idea.

So your master plan is to purposely work ten times slower than everyone else to prove a point to a CEO who doesn't know your name?

Exactly. Just like how the world vetoed atom bombs from existence instead of making 12,000 of them.

The only entities that would make meaningful money from an ai version of this would be IP giants like Disney. Your average guy is not going to get rich off his microscopic amount of data used. Basically Spotify.

Trust Switzerland? Protonmail is literally fleeing Switzerland. You now have to upload Government ID to use any online service with more than 5k users!! They are also now requiring backdoors (Article 50a). Literally the end of privacy!

It's honestly depressing no one talks about this, or even knows about this.

There is a 100% chance you will consume games / movies / media that was at least in part generated by AI, and enjoy it.

The idea that 50 years from you will still be holding out is hilarious.

But open models are only about 8 months behind closed models. So even aggressive copyright-enforcement would only create an 8 month delay.

This is essentially a LimeWire problem. And OpenAI is essentially Spotify.

Even with revenue sharing, 99% of artists will get nothing (just like streaming), and revenue will be much lower than before (just like streaming compared to record era).

Only IP giants like Disney would see any real income.

'I dislike AI, therefore it has no value to anyone.' Who knew the international unit of truth was your feelings?

Open source AI is even worse for copyright infringement lol. They have 0 filters.

I was referring to Germany, the largest EU nation. But sure let's look at percentages.

40% of the EU has age of consent 14 or lower. (Germany, Italy, Portugal, etc.) 78% of the EU has it at 15 or lower (France, Sweden, Denmark, etc.)

No 'official line' at 18-21.

Ya that's my point. The particular law in question - 'Online platforms that are creating any negative effects on mental wellbeing, like addiction'

This is Fortnite, Minecraft, Netflix, Online Shopping, Dating Apps etc.

Using this logic the government should regulate Minecraft too.
