Hey now, they care about the MTX gravy train that is mobile gaming.

Having 128GB of storage really does shape what kind of games are going to be played though. For a modern PS5/XSX/PC AAA game you can expect ~100 GB per install, and indie games really run the gamut depending on genre and scope.

I would expect only mobile developers to actually bother porting games natively to Apple TV, with larger titles opting for game streaming.

The next game is officially Unreal Engine based, so not quite the same swapping out Quake with Unreal.

I really would have liked Halo games based on idTech though. I can't see why idTech can't be a complete package for Halo, especially 7 and 8.

Firing a bunch of id staff probably crushes that idea more than it was previously though.

My understanding is that Raspberry Pi differentiates itself primarily with software support, which is hard to duplicate trivially like a physical device.

Tacoma is longer and wider by about 100mm. The Tacoma shares a platform with the Prado, no 2 door/2 seat option (anymore), no chassis cab, no diesel. Heard that it uses C channel frame, while the Hilux is fully boxed, so the payload is significantly better on the Hilux.

Sell sheet for the Tacoma vs the Hilux on Wikipedia states that there's an increased focus on ride quality over the Hilux, which was developed for the US market.

UC Berkeley developed RISC-V, so no doubt their influence within the computer science academia sphere had something to do with it.

My bad, I meant in the US.

Remember that the US is it's own market with different regulations and has a complicated history with imports, so no Hilux. Though it does look like the Ranger is externally the same between NZ and US. I'm not counting maybe 1mm as different.

I am somewhat familiar with a Ute since I've seen Subaru Bajas before. Not old enough to see Subaru Brats around or El Caminos.

It does seem like those people are emulating Americans though a lot of those mods are passable without certification, and it's up to a cop to pull over people using bush lights (they probably won't).

Right, but seeing trucks obviously not set up for towing or hauling is becoming more common nowadays. With the level of luxury trims available on some trucks now, it's obvious that they aren't a necessity anymore.

This is on top of trucks prioritizing 4 door models and taking bites out of the truck bed

32 bit RISC-V is pretty much limited to microcontrollers. There's no serious projects to create a Linux capable RV32 machine. Only FPGA soft cores and QEMU.

There is micropython, but just from the description, it's a separate project entirely with the same syntax, etc.

I actually have put that firmware on a MR2600, and it boots, not so sure about working well though. Screwing with OpenWRT and a vague sense it has a twin were my only memories of it. I had to retrace my own research from 4 years ago to come up with something worthy of a comment.

The MR2600 is a rebranded (or same ODM) D Link DIR-882 with a different plastic case, but the MR doesn't come with a rear USB 2.0 port. The FCC photos for each are identical otherwise, right down to the silkscreened board revision.

There's already an OpenWRT image for the DLink model, so coming up with an entry for the Motorola version shouldn't be hard.

There are states which are worse, but don't get as much press coverage. Louisiana is essentially just a a US state controlled by petrochemical companies, so portions of the state have extreme rates of cancer.
