It would be slightly less since it is just Chromium versus Chromium + Node.js (as in Electron).

I tried Standard Notes for a while but got frustrated by the fact that the Markdown editor is basically unusable. For some reason there's 5 or more different editors available and not a single one of them produces readable text.

Apparently Walmart forces workers to watch anti-union videos and will entirely shut down a store at the first hint of union activity (and then later re-open it few months later with new staff). Amazon likely does the same with the anti-union propaganda and can also afford to shut down factories or fire the entire staff.

I mean that the hosted build environment supports every platform (Windows, Mac, Linux).

Travis for instance only supports Mac and Linux. Circle CI supports Mac and Linux. Appveyor supports Windows and Linux.

Other tools like Jenkins or Buildkite can be installed anywhere but you have manage the build servers.

I'd like to point out that it appears their Pipelines is the only hosted CI tool on the market that supports every platform. Are there any others?

This looks more like a competitor to AWS GameLift, infrastructure designed for hosting game servers which are different than your typical web server (almost always stateful versus stateless). Improbable is more a developer level SDK to drop in your game and wire up functionality to their 'cloud processing'.

I do not believe there are any age restrictions but you have to be a student (but any type of student is fine so you typically have older PHD students who participate).

Definitely not limited to one country - they are basically one of the largest video game companies in the world with majority holdings in Riot Games, Supercell, Epic Games and a large percentage of Activision Blizzard.

Not familiar with the specific terminology of Kubernetes (pets, sets, etc) but does this allow you configure the shutdown behavior of containers? There's a Mesos feature I saw discussed where you can tell it to ping a endpoint in your application and not terminate the container until it says it is OK / safe to do so - is the same possible in Kubernetes? Want to do a blue-green type deployment pattern but the old application containers cannot be shutdown until all sessions are terminated (maybe even up to 15 minutes).

That might be a recent feature but previous versions required the controller to be running for handoff.

What's the advantage to using this over RDS?

I can't find any documentation on it - does anyone know how auto-updates are handled? Do you just release a new version and hope for the best or is there some sort of mechanism to force people to update?
