On many Android devices you can flash an AOSP RON which is a very viable alternative

Paired with other metadata (which can also be faked) I’d bet a jury would find the data quite convincing

You forgot the big one - regulation. Supply side is about making it easier for people to produce. You won’t find many free market types supporting QE and subsidies.

Would you rather live in a world where there’s only 1 large firm because over regulation has created a high barrier to entry and little incentive to risk starting a competitor, or a world with many firms where it’s easy for people to compete and they’re incentivised to do so?

Sure the rich hold some gold & BTC but most of their wealth is in investments (stocks, bonds, infrastructure etc.) to generate positive real returns - given inflation. This is far from hoarding

I believe the common sense solution is to protect the vulnerable and elderly, yet I’ve been in complete lockdown for over 6 months. Lockdowns were never the solution to pandemics prior, so why now?

People don’t wear masks correctly at all, they don’t wash it, they don’t pull it down and fiddle with it every other minute. There has been no attempt at public education around this where I live. Old age homes have been severely understaffed, provided with no PPE, have allowed visitors, and their staff have not been continually tested. Over 80% of the deaths in my state have came from these homes alone

Before taking away almost all of a person’s fundamental rights you have to at least try these less restrictive measures. People have been arrested in their home when they’ve made a fb post about protesting the restrictions. The worst part, there is no lack of people supporting these measures. Only recently has it become politically unpopular

I think the downvotes are about your assessments on some of these issues.

But you’re absolutely right in that only by reading these varied sources can you approximately discern what’s really going on. Reading bs trains your bs detector. Only read bs and you won’t be able to distinguish it from reality

All generic container manipulating functions use iterations - each of which you’d have to write a utility function for, just to use a couple of times.

What would otherwise be a trivial one liner with something like transform suddenly turns into a 3 line call

You increase your defensive assets (bonds, term deposits, annuities etc.) as you become more risk adverse (closer to retirement or other change in circumstances). So when a 90% crash occurs that takes 10 years to recover you’re either still earning, or you can draw down on your defensive assets, letting your stocks recover
