Whatever the reason behind it, it was poorly executed and has left quite a number of users outraged. The game was on sale for a price of $20 for a short window of time, then it disappeared, then came back with no discount. Rockstar has given amazing discounts in the past on Steam but for whatever reason this time they aren't doing so. Also the 3.5 million in-game currency is nothing when you consider that GTA V Online for PC is running rampant with hackers left and right, that currency is practically worthless, at least last I've heard it was.
