Tip: use bufio.Scanner.

    scanner := bufio.NewScanner(reader)
    scanner.Split(bufio.ScanLines)
    for scanner.Scan() {
      // Do stuff
    }

And you can iterate over the lines 'lazily'. If you don't want to consume \r's, make your own ScanLines :).
