So this is where we stand:

    Encrypted (Certified)    COOL GREEN
    Encrypted (Self-Signed)  EVIL RED
    Unencrypted              NOTHING / NEUTRAL CHROME

I think there's a pretty blatant antipattern here, and I'm not talking about colourblind-proofing the browser chrome.
