The rule for estimating project time is to take your estimate, multiple by 2, and then change to the next unit of time. So this means it will actually take you 12 years.

But I started from zero programming and had bad habits and put it down for months at a time. If you are already a programmer and know what you're doing, yes, it may only take one year.
