Complain about Ryanair all you want, but I flew from Marrakech - Morocco (Africa!) to Stanstead - UK for about £40 (~$65 USD), including 1 checked bag. It was uncomfortable, but I got there. You can barely even get a train to London from my city (Nottingham) that cheaply.
