You guys don’t seem to see this, but this is Kegseth Foxnews 101 paired with a pinch of Pentagon magic.
They push a narrative into the Pentagon near media, that can totally be misunderstood by the average citizen as preparation for a bigger war / boots on the ground, together with the president’s martial war rhetoric shortly before the election to manipulate the voting decision in the election that is conveniently in a few days.
Right-wing populists exploit people's existential anxieties by peddling crisis narratives.
Crisis narratives and securitisation “can temporarily strip individuals of their presumed biographical continuity, sparking episodes of anxiety and ontological insecurity” (Homolar and Scholz 2019, p. 356).

This is just a more subtle way of trying to steal an election.
It’s kinda concerning, not more than Kegseth preaching to the troops about end times or pumping them full of testosterone, but at least the upper echelons of the Pentagon seem to be ok with meddling with a US Election like this. Not good.
