Humans are good at over estimating. The AI revolution has happened already. There won't be super general intelligence. Just better automation tools.
Most of the headline grabbing break throughs have been clever PR or half truths. Hugging face wasn't hacked by rouge openAI models, it was a cyber security group from Israel been allowed to use state of the art LLMs as an exercise in what can be done.
