I perceive that it is our national interest to collaborate widely and collegially worldwide, including with Chinese businesses and scientists. This "red scare" is so stupid. I do not give one crap about OpenAI or Anthropic making a killing. I am more likely to personally benefit from cheap, democratically controlled, and internationally regulated AI.
