I don't think the next generation of Democrats is as corrupt as Trump. Jeffries seems like a pretty standard politician, and even progressives like AOC, Mamdani, Sanders, etc. do not seem venally corrupt.
And even Trump's corruption is not the problem. If that were his only sin the US would be fine.
Our political disfunction is caused not by personal failings (although those abound) but by genuine disagreement on which direction the US should take.
