This feels like I could have written it! I am the same age and run my own clean energy hardware startup. It’s been tough and tiring and I have the same thoughts of just pivoting to an “AI Climate tech solution “ and get some of that money but that seems cynical at best and a scam like most of these carbon credits startups at worst. In any case, I have never considered doing something else for a second. Like you said, someone has to make the choice to work on the harder but more important problems, no matter what.
