Everything you write is so stream of consciousness, I can't tell whether to be endeared or afraid of a manic episode, but I'm rooting for you, I think. I've now got basically a summary of your life, and you are indeed very transparent.

For what it's worth, I lived in Japan for 4 years and now speak the language. When I first got there, I spoke nothing, so just signing up for a bank account took me 30 minutes with google translate, sweating over a form while constantly reassuring the employee that I was daijoubu.

But on the other hand, now that I was basically forced to learn, the experience is very different. You will feel alone if you can't speak with the locals on their level, and it'll open up another world for you. I've done both sides, and I don't recommend putting it off. Even just 10 minutes a day of anki + tae kim's grammar guide will help.

Anyway, you're a curious fellow. FWIW, I'll be in Japan soon again (I visit frequently). If you really are that open, then maybe I'll message you to see what you're like in person, lol.
