I keep looking for good multilingual STT models (ideally locally runnable) that support diaritization and come up short every time.
Thus I keep sticking with Elvenlabs Scribe v2 at least it has half way decent support of European languages on this list.
I run periodic tests on OpenRouter on other STT models and basically all models are fantastic at English but seriously suck in many European languages.
Seriously I should give a bachelor thesis to some of my students to take some base model and supplemental train it for their language. Surely by know most technical kinks would be ironed out.
