Yes, you should be (besides the flying skills), and yes, it is a hard technical problem.
Normally the plane would use control surfaces, this one uses thrust vectoring with only one item providing thrust. I do think the rudder moves though, but technically that is still redirecting the thrust (because otherwise they'd have to move the motor around).
