It's interesting to see this all play out. Yes, on a personal level, it's a bummer for mathematicians that have the goal of figuring something out, and getting personal recognition and prize money. But now that AI can do this work better, I think we should mostly just celebrate that we can suddenly solve a lot of problems, and figure out how to use these abilities in a productive way. Math needs to change, just like software development has massively changed.
