Crows are clever enough to be dangerous (they can remember a face, connect it to a past incident, carry a grudge over that incident, communicate this grudge to their friends, and actively plan violent revenge) but also dumb enough that this intelligence is often self-defeating and counterproductive (randomly attacking people unprovoked). They are a great example of "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". Thankfully, they are intelligent enough to understand credible deterrence: a surefire way of resolving an ongoing dispute with crows is, of course, by using a gun. Thankfully crow hunting season is quite generous in my state and they taste pretty good.
