electricity plugs haven't changed for hundred of years, that's a standard. if you change things inside a package every couple of years then it's a product line not a standard.. like Jeep Wrangler that looked different years ago and now.. as an analogy.
I'm not critical about languages evolving.. just the tech changes so quickly that perhaps standardising it doesn't make any sense any more.
I wonder if languages like RUST or GO will ever become ISO standards.. I do believe all these new platforms won't even get close to that need.
