I stopped buying from amazon (except books tbh) a long time ago. The thing that really did it for me is the price of cables. Where before it would be e.g. $5 for a cable plus shipping ($4-5 or so) now it's $9.99 with PriMe ShiPpIng if you pay the hundred dollars plus per year for it. Two cables? That's $20 now, and you can't exactly combine free shipping.
In addition, whenever I pass a SKU and exact model number to purchasing, they inevitably buy the wrong item, because the search page is actually just advertisements and not search results.
The compulsory combined bins where an official seller shares a shipping pool with less reputable ones which put in counterfeit items so that unsuspecting customers pay full price for an item just to get a knock-off is another stupid little trick they do and then take NO responsibility for it.
Amazon is an ugly platform now and I avoid it at low cost.
It was my mistake for recommending Amazon to people before. It was my mistake for recommending Google Chrome to people in the same way. And Apple products. I do not make this mistake anymore.
