TIL what „data diodes“ are after discussing this incident with a friend and quickly brainstorming a cheap way of airgapping a system with unidirectional comms. We figured two arduinos and optocouplers should do it, turns out if you productize this and get everything certified you can charge up to 20k for it. Crazy!
