i spent a short while trying to figure out what the petition was and who it was supposed to be addressed to, only to conclude there wasn't a petition at all.

finally i found a statement in small print: This is not a petition to any government, agency or company.

so it's an ad to build a database of gullible and compulsive people. oh, well ...
