I kept a dev blog going 2015-2025. I put effort into long form explainers instead of bite sized content. It was fulfilling and paid off with a fair amount of Google first page results. I had consistent traffic to a few posts about building synthesizers. Now, the traffic has evaporated and is 99% bot traffic. Most of that is from China and Indonesia. I have no doubt that it is scraping for LLM model training. I quit blogging.
