Jev follows a very different philosophy. It wants to be your zero-shot partner everywhere. Jeff and similar applications - particularly Jeff v1.3 - doesn't try to do this anymore. It puts the value in the adapter. And the Jeff adapters will likely always perform better than Jev zero-shot. It's just a matter of specialization. Horses for courses.
